Westchester Guardian owner Sam Zherka suing FBI, IRS over discrimination allegations
NEW YORK - Westchester newspaper owner Sam Zherka is accusing the federal government of targeting him given his political affiliations.
Zherka, who owns the Westchester Guardian, is suing the FBI and IRS for $20 million, citing violations of his constitutional freedoms. He claims he has been under scrutiny in a tax investigation solely because of his involvement with the tea party.
Zherka says the IRS has meddled in his affairs for some time and that the agency's actions may be related to the recent nationwide scandal.
