MONTGOMERY - A wounded veteran in Orange County is now getting some much needed help, just in time for Veteran's Day.

Javier Fernandez, of Montgomery, suffered a serious spinal injury while serving in the Army overseas.

Home Depot and volunteers are now helping him with repairs and upgrades at his home on East Searsville Road.

The makeover is part of a national program called "Celebration of Service" which geared to help wounded warriors for Veteran's Day.

"It's a gift. They're angels if you think about it. Never expected it or expected to be selected. I'm honored," says a grateful Fernandez.
