YONKERS - The nonprofit program Today's Students, Tomorrow's Teachers held its 20th anniversary breakfast today to honor the next generation of teachers.

The breakfast was held at the Westchester Marriott Hotel in front of hundreds of distinguished guests, including News 12's Bryson Van Eck, who emceed the event. The mission of the program is to train culturally diverse students to become future teachers.

When the program started in 1994, only seven students participated. It has since grown into a national model for recruiting teachers.

The program recently expanded and is now in the greater Boston area.
