St. Phillip Church held its annual interfaith prayer service for world peace Sunday night in Norwalk.
The event was held in honor of India's Independence Day, which was earlier this month. Those who attended had the opportunity to take part in Indian folk dancing and other activities.
"Today there is a need for all religions to come together and pray for unity and peace because I see a lot of divisions all over the world," said Fr. Sudhi Dsouza, of St. Philip Church.
The event was co-sponsored by Boy Scout Troop #14 and the Giving Tree Corporation, a nonprofit that helps poor children in Indian obtain education.
