A new report says New York teens have the best driving records in the nation.

WHITE PLAINS - A new report says New York teens have the best overall driving records in the nation.

The findings are part of a study done by Wallethub, which compared driving conditions for teens including the number of teen drivers on the road in each state, fatality rates and 'under the influence' citations issued.

Hawaii and Illinois also topped the list. At the bottom were Nebraska, Mississippi and South Dakota.

The study says motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of death among American teenagers
