NYPD: Man steals diapers from Rite Aid, threatens employee with syringe

Police are searching for a man who stole diapers from a Rite Aid in Mount Eden and then threatened an employee with a syringe.
Investigators say it happened around 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 9 when the man caught on surveillance video was seen entering the Rite Aid along the Grand Concourse.
When the man took multiple bags of diapers, an employee tells News 12 that he tried to stop him, but the man took out a syringe and started threatening the employee before running out of the store.
News 12 is told nobody was hurt during the confrontation.
The man is described as 20 years old, around 6 feet tall and 150 pounds.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
