OSSINING - Hundreds of people attended the Westchester Boat show this weekend.

The event took place at the Westerly Marina in Ossining.

The foot traffic gave officials the chance to remind recreational boaters what's changed since last year, including more construction barges, slower wake zones and heightened policing near the Tappan Zee Bridge construction.

Officials also expect the Coast Guard to approve a boating restriction zone where construction barges are in high numbers.

The safety move comes one year after a bride and groomsman died on the Hudson River when their boat crashed into a construction barge at night.

Once the zone is approved, officials say boaters can expect markers to go up right away.
