Police have been involved in an undisclosed standoff at 14 Babcock Road since noon.

NANUET - Clarkstown police say a man has been hospitalized for evaluation following a standoff with police in Nanuet this afternoon.

Police say the standoff began at 14 Babcock Ave. at around noon.

Officials say a 20-year-old man in the home allegedly took a picture with a realistic-looking BB gun pistol and posted it on Instagram.  He allegedly said he was going to harm himself with a gun.

At 4 p.m., Clarsktown police say entered the home of the man, who was not harmed. They say he did not resist police.
