Health officials around the Hudson Valley are warning residents that the flu season is far from over.
The new warning comes after reported cases of the illness shot up last week across the area.
Health officials advise residents who still haven't gotten their flu shot to do it now because the illness is just becoming more widespread.
Dr. Mahlet Tadele says that the flu season has not even peaked yet.
The number of reported cases continues to climb in the Hudson Valley, with more than 1,200 more new cases of flu last week in Westchester and over 170 cases in Rockland.
Rockland and Westchester are offering flu clinics this week for those in need.
