Orange County?s top official takes helm for second term
Edward Diana officially began his second term as Orange County executive Monday.
In his first term, Diana's administration merged four county departments to create an Office of Emergency Services. It also updated the county's 911 system. Now, Diana wants to build a new $40 million 911 center. Diana is taking that project to the Legislature in February.
Orange County Clerk Donna Benson was also sworn in for her third term. Rockland County Executive Scott Vanderhoef will take his oath of office for the fourth time on Tuesday.
