Orangetown police say they have caught the three men wanted in an armed home invasion Tuesday.
Police say the three men forced their way into a house on Greenbush Road Monday and tied up the occupants. Detectives say the suspects took off with a safe containing thousands in cash and jewelry.
According to detectives, it was minor traffic violations that led them to the car and eventually finding the suspects in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Police arrested 32-year-old Dennis Lazo, of Allentown, 17-year-old Jose Herrera, of Charleston, Massachusetts, and 42-year-old Omar Anglero, of Brooklyn.
Detectives say they retrieved thousands of dollars in stolen goods from the suspects. Investigators say the three men are originally from New York City and that the victim knew one of the men involved.
