Halloween may be over, but the festivities continued today.

Over 200 Pace University students smashed pumpkins for a good cause at the 5th Annual "Smashing Pumpkins - Smashing Stereotypes."

Students write their most hated stereotype on a pumpkin and then get to destroy it with a sledgehammer.

Students say it was a good way to release stress and raise awareness about stereotypes.

Student Sydney Reyes said, "Hearing from everyone about what they are writing out can be kind of educational for us to see how everyone feels."

The event was hosted by Pace and the Westchester County Human Rights Commission.

After the event, the pumpkins were donated to Three Feathers Farm in South Salem to be used as food for livestock.
