Parents came together at Monroe Woodbury High School last night to learn how to protect their children from cyber-bullying.

Dozens of local parents attended the presentation on internet safety nearly two months after freshman student Kameron Jacobson took his own life due to bullying. School officials offered tips, such as making web-surfing a family activity, keeping computers in communal rooms and periodically checking on children's Facebook accounts.

Jacobson's family started an online foundation, Kindess Above Malice, that emphasizes the importance of high self-esteem and protection against bullying.
