Parents of children at a Suffern day care center are worried about a dialysis center becoming their new neighbor.
The parents say they are worried about the risk of pathogens and hazardous materials being so close to their children at Montebello KinderCare.
Renal Care of Rockland, the operator of the proposed center, says it has been operating in Valley Cottage for 13 years and has received all of the necessary approvals from the state.
CEO Andy Moriber said, "Our patients are no more infectious than people walking around Rockland's supermarkets or restaurants."
The center plans on beginning construction later this year.
