A local pastor is working to change a former strip club into a new church home.
Pastor Reggie Stutzman of The Real Life Church and other church members took part in the second annual curbside prayer service Saturday in Hunts Point.
At the service, Stutzman made it clear that he wants to pull out the poles and bring in the pews to the Hunts Point facility.
Church members say the Hunts Point neighborhood has gone on far too long with a bad rap.
Stutzman and his supporters have raised $40,000 so far.
Stutzman says he hopes that with the new facility, there could be after-school programs, family movies and more to turn the strip club into a house of God.
