Gov. David Paterson released the $750 million in school aid Thursday that he delayed in December.

Paterson held back 10 percent in funding to local school districts in an effort to help close the state's budget gap. That move left many schools throughout the Hudson Valley concerned about their ability to balance their budgets.

The $750 million in aid is expected to be sent to schools and municipalities Friday.
