Pearl River teen laid to rest after crash
Hundreds of people said their final farewells this week to a Pearl River High School student who died after being critically injured in a car accident last week.
Boy Scouts lined the steps of Saint Margaret's Church in Pearl River as relatives carried out the coffin of 15-year-old Justin Rogers.
The community rallied around and prayed for the Rogers family after Justin's leg was severed in a car accident May 3. He passed away last Thursday.
The next day, Pearl River High School students dressed in red, Rogers' favorite color, which many also wore to the funeral.
Rogers was remembered by mourners as an outgoing and friendly teen who loved music.
