Plan by anti-abortion group evokes strong emotions
A nationwide vigil against abortions is bringing out passionate pleas from both sides of the controversial issue.
Members of the Rockland County Multi-faith Coalition plan to take an hour each day for the next 40 days to pray outside Planned Parenthood in Spring Valley. The movement is called 40 Days to Life. Members say they are trying to ?touch the hearts of those who work at Planned Parenthood,? who they believe are misguided.
As the prayers go on, members of Planned Parenthood say they will continue to ensure their clients receive services without intimidation. Planned Parenthood members say they wish those engaging in prayer would work with them to make sure women have access to the health care services and birth control instead of setting up an environment of intimidation.
