Point Pleasant Beach sees post-Labor Day boom in business

Many beach towns are extending their season past Labor Day to give businesses the chance to make up for loses suffered during the COVID-19 pandemic.
News 12’s Hilary Lane was in Point Pleasant Beach where businesses were seeing plenty of traffic Saturday afternoon.
Realtors in the area say they expect Point Pleasant Beach to be busy all year round since more people are opting to stay in their second homes for the season.
Mayor Paul Kanitra says he is working with restaurants to expand permits through November so people can enjoy outdoor eating with heaters.
