Two people are behind bars after allegedly trying to pass off fake $100 bills while shopping at the Palisades Center mall over the weekend.
Police say 27-year-old Christopher Santiago and 24-year-old Geraldine Cepeda, of The Bronx, were arrested after using the phony bills at the Target store in the mall. When police arrested them, they say they found the counterfeit bills on them as well as merchandise they picked up from other stores in the Hudson Valley.
Both suspects are charged with felonies and are being held on bail.
