Police: 30 tires slashed behind Bridgeport apartment building; residents say it was payback

Several Bridgeport residents woke up this morning to find the tires on their vehicles slashed.
Police say 30 tires were slashed in The Hollow section of the city around 2 a.m. Friday behind apartments on Park Avenue.
The vandals targeted eight vehicles, all of them belonging to people who live in the apartments or their visitors.
Residents say the vandalism was payback for calling police on people who loiter in their parking lot, allegedly engaging in criminal activity.
"Everyone comes here to sell drugs, use drugs and utilize this parking lot here, so whenever someone from one of the houses call police on them, the retaliation is they scratch our vehicles, they throw garbage here, and today we woke up and eight vehicles had their tires slashed," says William Serrano.
Police say it will be tough to make an arrest because there are no security cameras on the property.
