POMONA - Volunteers spent Tuesday scanning Harriman and Bear Mountain state parks in a search for a Pomona man who has been missing since Friday.

Peretz Sontag, 50, was last seen leaving his house off Route 306 at around 11:30 a.m. Friday. The last time he was spoken to was 1 p.m. Friday and no one has seen or heard from him since. Police have determined, through his E-ZPass, that he did not leave the area in his own car. They're focusing their search for him and his car, a black 2012 Kia Optima, in and near Harriman State Park. Sontag's cellphone was last activated in the area. The search is also moving on to Suffern.

Detective Lt. Mark Emma, of the Ramapo Police Department, says the father of seven has been suffering from depression and they're unsure if he had his medication with him.

Sontag's family is offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to his safe return.
