Police arrested a man in Mount Vernon after tracking an iPhone stolen in New Rochelle.
The suspect was caught after an early morning police chase Monday that ended with police surrounding a yellow cab on South 10th Avenue in Mount Vernon.
Police responded to a stolen cellphone "pinging" near the taxi. They say four men were inside with a handgun visible on the floor.
Investigators say three suspects fled the cab, but another 20-year-old man from the Bronx remained and was arrested.
The other three men who fled the taxi remain on the loose.
The arrest follows an assault and a string of armed robberies that happened overnight across lower Westchester County.
