Police: Body found at Harriman State Park
Police say hikers at Harriman State Park in Suffern found a man's body on a trail they were walking.
Police say the discovery, of a man believed to be in his 60s, was made along the Suffern-Bear Mountain Trail near Route 202.
The Rockland County Medical Examiner's Office has not released the victim's name, but says there doesn't appear to be signs of trauma on his body.
"Hopefully we get an ID for the family and for our peace of mind in the village," says Chief Clark Osborne, of the Suffern Police Department. "To know who was up there - was he living there or just passing through. Whatever he was doing."
