Investigators say the father who is accused of fatally shooting his 9-year-old daughter and her baby sitter is no stranger to the law.
Darrell Evans, 50, is accused of shooting and killing Ayanna Evans and her babysitter, 42-year-old Lorna Williams, in his home at 8 Ellwood Ave. Thursday night.
According to investigators, the suspect has been arrested 12 times prior to Thursday's fatal shootings, including arrests for three violent felonies.
Evans has been accused of running an illegal nursing home in the past, subjecting adults with disabilities to dangerous living conditions.
Grief counselors are at the Traphagen Elementary School Monday to console friends and classmates Ayanna Evans.
Evans is due in court Jan. 14 in connection with the double-murder.
