A man was arrested after hazardous chemicals and materials were allegedly found in his townhouse.
Police arrested Eric Scuccimarra, 37, after hazmat teams, police and other emergency crews were called to the Half Moon Bay Townhouses Saturday. The initial call was for smoke coming from the basement of 1803 Half Moon Bay Drive, where Scuccimarra lives. But police say they found "quite a bit" of hazardous chemicals and materials there as well.
Three buildings at the complex were evacuated after the materials were found. Scuccimarra has been charged with several felonies, including possession of a controlled substance. Police say they also found a stash of pills at his house.
Scuccimarra is due back in court on Wednesday.
