Monroe police confirm that they were spotted in a village neighborhood twice this week - and found evidence in a restaurant burglary while investigating an unrelated domestic dispute.
Residents reached out to News 12 for help to determine what prompted the law enforcement presence and provided home surveillance videos of police with flashlights and K-9’s in yards.
Officers found parts of a discarded cash register in the area from an unrelated burglary at the Tequilla Grill while investigating the dispute the next day, according to officials.
Police say the domestic dispute was not related to last year’s shooting and that no arrests have been made in any of the cases.
