Police: Gun shots fired near Hempstead High School

<p>According to police, the gunshots happened in two locations not far from the school around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, according to Newsday.</p>

Police are investigating after gun shots were fired near Hempstead High School.
According to police, the gunshots happened in two locations not far from the school around 6:45 p.m. Thursday, according to Newsday.
The incident happened right before the start of a board meeting at the high school.
The shots reportedly happened on President Street, across from the school and one Peninsula Boulevard, about a block east.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Police are investigating if the shootings are related.
