A car that plunged off a ferry in Miami last year, killing a Harrison woman and her friend, appeared never to have been put in park.
That's according to a review of records released by the Miami-Dade Police Department and obtained by News 12.
Viviane Brahms, 75, of Harrison, and a 63-year-old Miami woman were in the Mercedes Benz when it rolled off the ferry and became submerged in a shipping channel between Miami Beach and Fisher Island.
An investigation found that there were no malfunctions associated with the vehicle.
The Miami-Dade County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death for both women was drowning, and each death was classified as an accident.
