State police say a man was arrested Sunday after he stabbed and killed a man on the Taconic State Parkway in Mount Pleasant.
According to police, 21-year-old Christian Walczyk, of Dutchess County, got into an altercation with 28-year-old Daniel Siino on the highway around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
That's when they say Walczyk stabbed Siino in the chest and fled the scene. After the incident, Siino made his way back to his car where a passenger called 911.
Siino was rushed to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where he was pronounced dead.
Walczyk was taken into custody and charged with first-degree manslaughter.
Siino leaves behind a wife and young daughter. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the family.
Any witnesses to the incident are asked to contact state police.
