Police say a man has been charged for stealing from a Fairfield home while the residents were inside.
They say Alberto Rosado, of Bridgeport, is accused of entering a home on South Benson Road in Fairfield and stealing over $6,000 worth of items.
Authorities say the homeowners woke up during the burglary and described the suspect to police.
Officers say they then saw the man fitting the description in a stolen vehicle and a chase ensued.
They say after the pursuit ended, they gathered enough evidence to identify the suspect as Rosado.
Police say they found many of the items that were taken from the home.
Rosado is being held on a $150,000 bond.
