A man was found unconscious and bleeding on a sidewalk in Orange County Thursday.

Police say a witness found the male victim on Lake Street in Monroe.

Investigators say he was unconscious and bleeding from a neck wound, but it's unclear if the injury was self-inflicted or the result of an attack.

News 12 was told that the unnamed man was in stable condition. Authorities say an investigation is continuing.
