Police: Man left kids in car while at a bar
An Orange County man was arrested Thursday for allegedly leaving his two sons inside his car while he went to a bar.
Police say 41-year-old Gregory Olsen, of Middletown, left his two sons, ages 3 and 1, inside his car with their seatbelts on while he went to Delancey's bar in Goshen with his 5-year-old daughter. According to authorities, a passerby saw the children crying and called police.
Oscar Vidals, the manager of Delancey's, says he served Olsen a couple of Sam Adams beers and gave the girl juice.
"He was here for half an hour," Vidals says. "He was planning to stay a little longer because he ordered food."
Olsen was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Authorities say Olsen's children were turned over to a relative.
