Police: New Jersey man arrested following erratic behavior at 2 North Rockland schools

Haverstraw police say the 32-year-old went to Thiells Elementary School and to Willow Grove Elementary School, where he drove onto the front sidewalk.

An incident at two schools in the North Rockland School District on Thursday led to the arrest of a New Jersey man who police say was acting erratically.
Haverstraw police say a 32-year-old man first went to Thiells Elementary School looking for someone. When he couldn't find that person, he went to Willow Grove Elementary School, where he drove onto the front sidewalk.
Police say the man did not make any threats and did not have a weapon.
Two school resource officers were able to arrest him.
He faces several charges, including endangering the welfare of a child, reckless endangerment and harassment.
He is being held at the county jail.
His name had not been released as of Friday night.
Police say students at both schools were never in any danger.
