Police in Pearl River are alerting parents and students after two attempted child abductions occurred recently. Officials say a masked man followed a Pearl River High School student after school on Friday.

Police on alert after 2 attempted child abductions
Police in Pearl River are alerting parents and students after two attempted child abductions occurred recently.
Officials say a masked man followed a Pearl River High School student after school on Friday. The other incident occurred in nearby Bergen County, N.J., when a man approached a middle school student in a black SUV and offered the student $1,000 to get in the car.
Officials say both students got away safely.
