Police predict future in jail for three Warwick fortunetellers
A trio of suspected phony fortunetellers in Warwick are proving to be bad luck for some of their clients.
Police sent in a uniformed officer to obtain standard contact information for a store called Readings by Sabrina on Main Street. They were given three names of employees. Police ran the information in a national fraud database and discovered all three are in trouble with the law. According to police, Debbie Lee is wanted in Pennsylvania for scamming $45,000 from a customer by claiming her money had evil spirits. The two others, Sabrina Mitchell and Jimmy Lee, had also been arrested in connection with the same scam.
Police say they have routinely gone back to the store searching for the three wanted fortunetellers, but believe they might have scared them away. Anyone who thinks they may have been scammed by Sabrina Fortunetellers should contact Warwick police at 845-986-3423.
