Police say a Saugerties man is facing charges following a domestic dispute.

Officials say the incident occurred on Church Road.

When they arrived, authorities found that 39-year-old Najel Soloman-Jordan -- the alleged perpetrator – had left the scene.

The female victim told police Jordan put her in a chokehold and dragged her into a bedroom where Soloman-Jordan would not let her leave.

Soloman-Jordan was later arrested by police and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
