Police: Valley Cottage man fired shots in air
Police say a Valley Cottage man was arrested Wednesday after firing shots into the air from the deck of his house.
Clarkstown police say about 10 to 15 rounds were fired just before 9 a.m. by Thomas Bross at his Christian Herald Drive home. According to police, Bross said he was prepping his rifle for hunting season.
Neighbors say the alleged incident was alarming.
"I know he lost his car and he's been on disability," says Amie Schiff. "He's not working right now, but he seems like a nice guy. I'm just very shocked this ever would happen."
Bross is charged with reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence.
