Police searched by land and air in Warwick in a massive manhunt for a burglary suspect.

According to police, a truck crashed into a telephone police on County Route 1 in Warwick Monday and the driver fled the scene. Police say the vehicle was stolen and they believe the driver had just robbed a home.

Witnesses told police they saw the man running away with what looked like a gun. Police say they discovered other weapons and jewelry in the truck.

State police sent helicopters up to search the area for the suspect while K-9 units combed the woods near the crash site. So far, police have come up empty-handed. They say the suspect may be tied to a number of home burglaries in Wawayanda.
