It's National Police Week, and the city of New Rochelle is just one of dozens of communities paying tribute to its men and women in blue.
City officials held their annual memorial ceremony at Greentree Country Club on Wednesday.
The event pays tribute to officers from the department who've lost their lives in the line of duty. The city also recognized the accomplishments of more than 100 members of the department.
Officers received awards for crime stopping, lifesaving and other community service efforts. "I'm very happy, it’s a great honor. I’m just glad to be here with my friends and family. New Rochelle is a great city, a great community. Makes working here wonderful," says one of the honorees Officer Nicholas Zuzulo.
