Pomona parents still concerned about extended day at middle school


The extended hours program is being paid for by a multimillion-dollar state grant.

Pomona parents voiced their concerns about a big change to the upcoming school year at a backpack giveaway event Thursday.

Principal Christine Alfonso said the change, which extends middle school students' day by two hours, is a good thing.

Parents, however, say they aren't so sure how well the change is going to work out.
