Pop-up parade in Monroe celebrates first responder, volunteer who turned 90

The pandemic didn't stop a special birthday celebration in Orange County for a lifelong first responder and volunteer.
Robert Mahran turned 90 on Thursday and was honored with a pop-up parade in Monroe.
He's been a volunteer with the Red Cross and Monroe Ambulance Corp for seven decades and is still active.
He says the celebration is something he'll never forget.
Mahran has responded to more than 1,700 calls with the Monroe Ambulance Corps and has responded to disasters nationwide for the Red Cross.
He says he has no plans on retiring from his volunteer work and adds that it helps keep him young.
