A fire captured in a dramatic surveillance video was the second major inferno that Port Chester's all-volunteer fire department has had to respond to in a single week.
A home on Madison Avenue erupted in flames around 2 p.m. Thursday.
It took a crew of more than 100 firefighters about 2 hours to put it out.
The homeowner was rescued by some fast-acting neighbors who noticed the fire from nearby.
She suffered only minor injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
An abandoned building went up in flames on Tuesday of this week, as well, before spreading to a neighboring structure.
Officials say there are plans for the whole block to be torn down and turned into a mixed-use development.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with the recovery from the fire.
