GOSHEN - A Port Jervis man charged with killing his live-in girlfriend and setting a fire to cover up the crime has been found guilty.

An Orange County jury convicted David Stevenson, 39, of murder, arson and weapon possession in connection with the January 2013 incident.

Prosecutors say Stevenson slit the throat of 35-year-old TyRochelle Haughton and then torched her house in Port Jervis. A first responder found the lifeless body of the mother of four.

Stevenson faces 25-years-to-life in prison when he's sentenced next month.
