A worker at a Port Jervis concrete plant was seriously injured Wednesday after becoming pinned by a hydraulic press.
Jorge Guzman, 26, was operating a hydraulic press at Dick?s Concrete plant. When Guzman got up, he apparently forgot to turn off the press and was accidentally pinned under the machine. Police and EMS responded and saw that Guzman?s chest and stomach were crushed under the machine.
Police say Guzman was trapped for about five minutes. He was taken to Westchester Medical Center where he is being treated for internal injuries.
