ELMSFORD - The Tony Award-winning musical “Ragtime” is making its debut in Westchester.
With a cast of 40, impressive props, and even some flying, the Westchester Broadway Theatre is boasting a grandiose show.
Set in the early 20th century, the story weaves together three families. One is from Harlem, another is an upper-middle-class suburban family from New Rochelle, and the third is immigrants from Latvia.
The worlds of the three families collide as the Industrial Revolution takes center stage.
Craig Waletzko plays the character of the father. Actor FaTye of Dobbs Ferry plays the main character, Coalhouse Walker Jr.
For production company Standing Ovation Studios, it is their biggest show to date.
“Ragtime” premieres at the Westchester Broadway Theatre on Feb. 27 and runs through May 4.
