Rain makes for soggy morning commute
A tropical rainstorm has soaked the Hudson Valley overnight and created a soggy morning commute.
News 12 Meteorologist Brysen Van Eck says the last rain bands will produce moderate to heavy downpours, but expects the precipitation to start tapering off around 10 a.m. Van Eck predicts that the region should be clear of rain by 2 p.m..
The rain has caused flooding in some areas and ponding on many roads. Numerous accidents are being blamed on the soggy conditions.
Van Eck say sunny skies will replace the clouds and highs should be around 72.
