Ramapo residents to vote on ward referendum Tues.
Voters in Ramapo are heading to the polls Tuesday to vote on a referendum that could change the way their town government is run.
Voters will decide whether to split the town into geographical wards. Residents will either elect their own council members, or keep the current at-large system where council members don't represent any specific area of town.
Also on the ballot is a measure that would increase the number of council seats from four to six.
The polls open at 6 a.m. Tuesday and will remain open until 10 p.m.
