Ramp closures slated for TZB decking installation

There will be more road closures this week as progress continues on the new Tappan Zee Bridge.
Crews have begun installing road deck panels for the new bridge's Westchester approach. About 6,000 panels will be installed on the new bridge's approach spans.
The new $3.9 billion bridge will also include a bicycle and pedestrian path. Crews will be working on that path this week, and will result in the overnight closure of the on-ramp for Exit 10 in Nyack on the southbound Thruway Tuesday and Wednesday.
In other construction news, the big red crane that toppled over almost two weeks ago has been removed. The accident caused the Tappan Zee Bridge to close for hours, and five people were injured. There are several agencies working on the investigation into the accident, but there is still no word on what caused it.
