A Rockland Community College student has been accused of abusing his position as an employee at the school to steal the credit card numbers of former students.
Spring Valley Police Department officials say 19-year-old Ololade Alyeku, who worked in the transcripts department, used the campus computer center to place orders using the stolen credit card numbers. Alyeku allegedly ordered more than $2,000 worth of merchandise for personal use.
Police have charged Alyeku with 37 felonies counts and 31 misdemeanors including grand larceny and identity theft. He was released on $4,000 bail and is due back in court next month.
